Prof Pompi Bhattacharya is SACT at the Department of English, Katwa College affiliated with the University of Burdwan. 

She has passed her graduation and  Master's degree in English Literature from Banaras Hindu University. Her special paper was on Indian Poetry and Writings. She has completed her B.Ed from Chandannagar Government College. She has been teaching in Katwa College since 2003. Her student-friendly attitude helped her to teach very amicably in these years.
