Prof Indrani Ray is an Assistant Professor at the department of English, Katwa College affiliated to the University of Burdwan. She has worked as a lecturer in the department of English , Shri Shikshayatan College , Kolkata from 2008 to early 2017 before joining Katwa College.

Her MPhil is on Challenges of Teaching Communicative English in the Colleges of Kolkata

Parallel Milestones :

She has earlier taught the paper on Linguistics at the Post Graduate Level in the department of English, WBSU and the paper on Communicative English at the Department of Library Science, University of Calcutta. At present she also addresses Post Graduate students of the department of English, Shri Shikshayatan College affiliated to University of Calcutta.

Resourcing :

She has been a resource person for a career readiness camp organized by Vikramshila Education Society in collaboration with the American Centre Kolkata in 2016. She has Worked as a facilitator with American Fulbright Scholars on a teaching project “Bolo American English” organized by American Centre, Kolkata.

She has been invited as a resource person to Faculty Induction programmes , Special Lectures and judges at various literary events . 

Research Interests : Language Teaching , Classroom dynamics , Partition Literature , Dalit theatre
